--Menu plan for the week!--
I must say that planning a menu based on my stockpile and the few things that I bought at the store yesterday is quite challenging! I know that it will be rewarding though, so I am excited for this challenge! I really do think that having a set menu for each week is going to make mealtime so much easier as well! :) I will be posting many of the recipes from my menu each week, so stay tuned! :)

In my next post, I will be sharing with you my recipe for White Chicken Chili--we had it last night, and it was so yummy! I just had left-overs for lunch and it tasted even better! :)

OK-when I first looked at this, I thought what you listed for breakfast was for one day! I thought, Oh dear! :) Then I looked at dinner and understood.
I have a "hint" for meal planning:
each week we have
1. a breakfast meal
2. a Mexican meal
3. an Italian meal
4. a "fast food" meal (hotdogs, frozen pizza, frozen chicken tenders, etc)
5. a meat and potatoes meal
6. during the summer this would be a grill out meal and during the winter it's soup
7. either left overs, go out, or "scrounge" (find whatever I can to make dinner)
They might not be on the same night each week (fast food is usually on Wed or Sun cuz of church) but it gives me a starting point when I'm planning my menu. I used to keep my menu list in a notebook so I could look back and see the last time we had "whatever" so I didn't burn out a recipe. I haven't done that in a while, but should get back to it.
Hope it give you and others something to think about! And make life easier. My mom always said she would love to cook--if someone would just tell her what to make! That's the hardest part. Especially if you have a tight budget or a picky eater (I have 2) or on a medical diet.
Thanks Heather for your great ideas and Beth too--I agree figuring out what to fix and make it interesting is a challenge.
What is Cuban Picadillo?
Thanks Heather! I will try this!
Thanks so much Beth for your ideas! That is just awesome! :)
Mandy,
Cuban Picadillo is a meat and olive dish made with Cuban spices. It is so delish! We love it with black beans served on rice! I will post the recipe! :)
Rachel, you are very welcome! Hope it helps!
