Learnin' the Coupon Lingo-BOLO & OOP

Today's Learnin' the Coupon Lingo Lesson is about the terms : BOLO and OOP

BOLO-this term means Be On The Lookout For

You will usually see this term referenced on couponing blogs and forums to BOLO for a certain type of coupon or sale. For example, you may hear me say, "BOLO for a new coupon booklet at Publix" I am telling you to Be On The Lookout for that booklet.

OOP-this term means Out Of Pocket

Simply put, the money that you will spend out of your own pocket at a store minus coupons and other discounts. I mention this term quite frequently when discussing scenarios at stores. For example, in a Walgreens post, I may mention at the end of the post that after your $1 coupon and Register Rewards are applied to your order, your OOP will be $2. I am telling you what your Out Of Pocket {cash that you will spend} expense will be after all coupons and discounts are applied.

Daily Sweet Fix :: How to Make a Starbucks Double Chocolate Chip Creme Frappucino

For today's Daily Sweet Fix I thought that I would go ahead and share with you guys another Homemade Starbucks Drink recipe that you can make right at home! If you missed yesterday's recipe for the Coconut Mocha Frappucino, you can go here to get the recipe! I can't wait to try these!

STARBUCK'S DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CHIP CRÈME FRAPPUCINO

4 tablespoon chocolate syrup

4 tablespoon chocolate chips

4 cups double-strength freshly brewed Espresso {if you don't want to use espresso, milk may work here}

Chopped or crushed ice

Whipped cream (optional)

Chocolate syrup (for drizzle, optional)

Fill blender half full with chopped or crushed ice. Add all ingredients (except

whipped cream) and blend until thick and still icy. Pour into 4 tall glasses, top with

whipping cream and drizzle chocolate over the whipped cream.

Learnin' the Coupon Lingo-PSA

Today's term for Learnin' the Coupon Lingo is: PSA

Have you ever seen this term before on a coupon forum or blog and thought to yourself, "What can this possibly mean?" I have to be honest with you, when I started die-hard couponing many years ago, I was really confused by this term.

PSA means: Prices Starting At.

In looking at CVS and other ad previews on Couponing Forums, I often seen this term mentioned without any explanation. For example, CVS will list an upcoming sale on Colgate Toothpaste and in fine print it will say Prices Starting At. We couponers have shortened those words to PSA; therefore, that is the term that you will see on the couponing blogs out there!
